Along side the economic project in Peru, Solid focuses on helping the most vulnerable group in the world, children. Children occupy a weak position in society. Generally children are unable to stand up for themselves and are unable to voice their situation or be heard, thus they are often completely dependent on the goodwill of others, particularly where there are no structural institutions to protect them. All too often people take advantage of this and children worldwide end up in the most unjust and horrible situations. In many places around the world, the International Treaty regarding the Rights of the Child is violated or simply ignored. Solid is rallying to their cause and directing its resources to help in the fight against child abuse and mistreatment.
